CPS Ethics by CPS Parent

A few concerned parents went to see CPS Board Member Jaime Guzman last month and requested an investigation as to why CPS employees were permitted to write intimidating letters to families. We presented other CPS problems as well to Jaime Guzman. 

​Since CPS Board Member Jaime Guzman isn’t seeming to take parents seriously, we decided to report issues of CPS employee malfeasance to the CPS ethics department. (e[email protected]). But the startling behaviour of the ethics department concerned us as they refused to identify themselves. Apparently, their identity was top secret information.

On top of it, “[email protected]” were replying with ridiculous answers that no normal ethics person would send out.  For all we knew, it was Barbara Byrd Bennett replying from her cell. So, we had to physically walk over to 42 West Madison, ask the security guard to find out who managed ethics. 

As it turned out, it was CPS Lawyers who were wearing the ethics costumes. Under General Counsel Joe Moriarty, lawyers Ruchi Verma and Libby Massey were behind the curtain of anonymous ethics emails. And, in Ruchi Verma’s case, from her own CPS email, she would encourage people to “write to ethics” if they didn’t like her responses. So besides Chip Johnson and Jadine Chou, ethics complaints were being submitted about Ruchi, Libby and Joe, and Ruchi, Libby and Joe were the secret ethics department. 

Obviously, this is absolutely unacceptable behavior, even for a CPS employee. So, attached you will find the complaint made to the ARDC (Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission).  Even CPS Attys have to conduct themselves in an ethical manner. Moriarty left a (saved) frightening,  intimidating voice message for one parent, Verma and Massey are the pretend, unidentified “ethics” committee, Jim Ciesel, the one who is fighting the Beyer case, has left CPS and doesn’t even have an outgoing message telling people he left. Someone wrote in to Ciesel with new Beyer evidence, but it’s probably just sitting in Ciesel’s inbox. 

Per Lori Lightfoot, as reported in the news, Janice Jackson is really nice. I agree with Lightfoot, most people probably do too. But JJ sure does run a crappy shop that is long on nonsense, short on integrity. Lucky for Jackson, Lightfoot’s daughter goes private.
