Accessibility Continued: CPS needs to do its homework

Chicago Public Schools released its Capital Spending plans with its new budget but doesn't know its own numbers. From Walter Brezski, "Then, Rivera said it would take $600M to make all CPS schools fully accessible when asked by a board member. How does Rivera know this if he doesn't know how many schools are accessible? And, people wonder why Chicago children aren't being protected by CPS..."

According to the most recent CPS Accessibility Report in 2015, 42% of CPS schools aren't fully accessible/ADA compliant with 194 schools not accessible and 50 being first floor usable only.

I'm sick of CPS not knowing what the hell is going on!

At least Ogden has elevators going up. The rest of the place, including test scores, morals, ethics are going down!

It's very frustrating that CPS brass doesn't seem to know how many schools are accessible. It's so hard to know on the CPS website and I'm with Walter - how can they make decisions if they don't know their numbers!

I posted the video on other pages and sites. One teacher on the "Chicago Educators" Facebook page commented that I was asking a "gattcha (gotcha) question" of Rivera. I corrected him and told him it was Jackson who asked Rivera the question after his FY2020 Capital Spending presentation.

I think everyone at CPS should be fired and then bring in another team. This is crazy how much nobody knows.
